What is a FOCUS DISCUSSION?
A group in which participants voice their opinions on what they like and don't like. Many times, participants are paid by companies for their services ($10 to $150 or more for an hour or two). Producers of goods and services pay consultants to ask participants questions and then they listen attentively to see why they buy or don't buy certain products and services. Companies with a need for specific input may engage a consultant to focus on a particular aspect of their business. The consultants design a program, enlist participants and listen for preferences and desires - from colors to smell, from size to shape to why they come in late for work or choose not to take advantage of the company's free stock plan. Mr. Cederdahl will design and lead a focus discussion for you when you want to know the motives behind why people do what they do. |
